How to read the pay matrix

Find your level from your post or old grade pay, then go down to the cell for your years in that level. Your annual increment (1 January or 1 July) moves you one cell down. On promotion or MACP you get one notional increment and move to the equal or next higher cell in the new level: use the pay fixation calculator.
