About My Sarkari Salary

My Sarkari Salary is a free set of calculators and guides for people who want to understand their pay: central government employees and pensioners first, and every salaried person who wants to know their tax.

Government pay rules are public but scattered across pay commission reports, office memorandums and gazette notifications. News sites repeat the headline numbers; small calculators often use old rates. We do three things differently:

• Every constant has a source. The DA rate, HRA rates, pay matrix, commutation table and tax slabs each come from the order that sets them. They are listed on the sources page.
• Rates change in one place. When the Cabinet approves a DA hike or a Budget changes tax, we update one file and every calculator, table and guide changes with it, usually the same day.
• We show the working. Each result shows how it was calculated, line by line, so you can check it against your pay slip.

We currently cover 15 calculators. Rates were last checked on 11 October 2026.

Who runs this site

The site is run independently and is not connected to any ministry, department or pay commission. It is paid for by advertising, which never affects the results.
